Lt. Gov. Griffin a dad for third time

Lt. Gov. Tim Griffin and his wife now have three children, after a daughter was born Thursday.

“Elizabeth and I are pleased to announce the birth of our daughter: Charlotte Anne Griffin, who arrived today at 2:58 p.m., 7 pounds, 13 ounces and 21 inches,” Griffin said in a news release issued late Thursday afternoon. She was born at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, said Griffin spokesman Ben Gilmore.

“Mother and baby are doing well,” said Griffin, who is a Little Rock Republican.

“Elizabeth and I thank God for the blessing of our new daughter, and thank Arkansans for their thoughts and prayers,” he added.

The couple’s two other children are Mary Katherine Griffin, who is 10 years old, and John Griffin, who is 7, said Gilmore.
