FLW angler missing

In order to concentrate all efforts on the ongoing search for a missing angler, Fishing League Worldwide (FLW) officials canceled the final day of competition Friday at the Costa FLW Series tournament on Lake Okeechobee.

FLW confirmed Thursday night that two anglers competing in the event did not check in at the designated weigh-in location Thursday at C. Scott Driver Park in Okeechobee, Fla.

Bill Kisiah of Slidell, La., was the boat owner. Also in the boat was co-angler Nik Kayler of Apopka, Fla. Kisiah was found alive Thursday at 10 p.m. Kayler has not been located.

Kisiah is a nine-year veteran boater in FLW Series competition. Kayler has fished in 61 previous FLW events as a co-angler.

On Friday, search and recovery operations were still being conducted under the guidance of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and local authorities. FLW is assisting the search operations.

Final tournament standings will be determined by day one of competition.

TV host's gear stolen

VICKSBURG, Miss.-- Police in Mississippi are investigating the reported theft of hunting equipment from the hosts of a Sportsman's Channel hunting show.

Bow Life TV host Levi Morgan said in a video posted on the show's Facebook page that hunting gear was stolen from a truck parked outside a Vicksburg hotel earlier this week.

Deputy Police Chief Bobby Stewart told the Clarion-Ledger that Vicksburg police investigators were reviewing surveillance video from the hotel. Stewart said the hosts' truck was parked out of a camera's view, but another truck was seen entering and leaving the area around the time of the theft.

Morgan said the stolen gear included safety vests, boots, arrows and filming equipment. He said they had stopped in Mississippi on their way to Louisiana.
