Cousins accused of forgery, fleeing

A suspect in a forgery struck Little Rock officers and a patrol car with his vehicle while fleeing with his cousin, police said.

Officers were called Tuesday afternoon to Simmons Bank at 8500 W. Markham St., according to a Little Rock police report.

Police say 22-year-old Marquise Crump of Little Rock and his cousin, 19-year-old Torie Truitt of Little Rock, tried to deposit a fraudulent check into a bank account.

After authorities arrived, Crump reportedly struck a patrol vehicle with his vehicle and later backed up and struck another vehicle that had at least one occupant.

When officers tried to get him out of the vehicle, Crump backed up again and struck officers with his vehicle, the report states, leaving them injured.

Crump and Truitt each face charges of second-degree forgery and fleeing. Crump also faces counts of aggravated assault and criminal mischief.

Records show that the pair remained in the Pulaski County jail as of Wednesday afternoon. They are each set to appear in court Tuesday.

Vehicle shot at 8 times, man states

A Little Rock man's car was shot at eight times as he left the parking lot of a restaurant Tuesday night, he told police.

The 22-year-old told officers that he got into a fight with a 21-year-old woman about 11 p.m. at the Wendy's restaurant at 8901 Baseline Road.

He said the woman got into his car and left, so he followed her to Spanish Willows Apartments at 7515 Geyer Springs Road but couldn't find the vehicle.

When he went back to the Wendy's, he saw the woman and her mother, along with a male stranger, with his car in the parking lot of Asian Grill Buffet at 10001 Mabelvale Plaza Drive, according to the report.

The 22-year-old said he got his car back and started driving away, and the male shot at the vehicle eight times as he left.

No injuries were reported. Officers noted finding eight shell casings at the scene. The report names no suspects but lists a silver 2006 Chevrolet Impala as the suspect's vehicle.

Police: Shots tied to Facebook feud

A 16-year-old girl was arrested Tuesday night in North Little Rock on accusations that she shot toward three minors she was feuding with on Facebook and then posted a video acknowledging that she had done so, police said.

Chamacia Rogers faces three counts of aggravated assault. She remained in the Pulaski County jail Wednesday morning with bail not yet set.

According to an arrest report, Rogers "was involved in a disturbance on Facebook with three male juveniles" who lived near her.

At one point, Rogers "walked approximately four houses away from the victims" and fired four to five times toward them, the report said. It did not indicate that anyone was hit by the gunfire.

"Rogers then appeared in a Facebook video, stating 'I just shot at y'all' multiple times," police wrote, noting that she was waving a silver handgun and pointing it at the camera.

Authorities found the handgun inside a wall at the home, police said. The report indicated that a prosecutor approved charging Rogers as an adult.
