Drug Task Force makes 26 arrests in March, number up from beginning of year

FAYETTEVILLE -- The 4th Judicial District Drug Task Force made 26 arrests in March, according to a press release from Police Chief Greg Tabor.

The number of arrests are up from the beginning of the year. The task force made 14 drug related arrests in January, according to press release.

The task force made these arrests in March:

• One person was arrested in connection with trafficking of a controlled substance

• 20 people were arrested for delivery of a controlled substance. One of those was also arrested in connection with possession of a firearm by certain persons prohibited. Three were also arrested in connection with simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms

• Three were arrested in connection with possession of a controlled substance with purpose to deliver

• Two were arrested in connection with possession of a controlled substance.

The task force seized or purchased this evidence last month:

• 23.3 ounces

• 0.70 ounces of cocaine

• 7.3 pounds of marijuana

The 4th Judicial District Drug Task Force is composed of officers representing Farmington, Fayetteville, Greenland, Goshen, Lincoln, Prairie Grove, Springdale and West Fork police departments and deputies from the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
