BOONEVILLE 21, DARDANELLE 20
BOONEVILLE -- Booneville quarterback Brandon Ulmer threw for 138 yards and two touchdowns in a 4A-4 Conference victory over visiting Dardanelle to give Booneville sole possession of first place in the league standings.
Both of Ulmer's touchdown passes gave the Bearcats (7-1, 5-0 4-4A) the lead. The first covered 27 yards to Ethan Dobbs to make it 14-10 with 7:19 left in the first half. The second covered 62 yards to Mike Hesson on the first play of the final quarter and made it 21-20.
Dardanelle (6-2, 4-1) got rushing touchdowns from Elyas Carter from 13 and 17 yards out and a pair of Temo Martinez field goals to lead 20-14 at the half.
After Carter's first touchdown, Dobbs returned the kickoff 96 yards for a Bearcat touchdown.
