Fayetteville tourism commission names fall grant recipients

Experience Fayetteville, the city's convention and visitors bureau, is seen Monday, Oct. 16, 2017.

FAYETTEVILLE -- Just more than a dozen groups or organizations this fall will get some money from the Advertising and Promotion Commission.

Fall grants

Botanical Garden of the Ozarks, Arkansas Flower and Garden Show — $5,000

Community Creative Center, 10-year celebration — $4,500

Fayetteville Public Schools, Weekend of Champions — $10,000

Hogeye Events Inc., Razor Run — $3,000

Little Craft Show — $2,500*

Michael Hoerman, Crossover poetry event — $1,000 (targeted ad)

NWA Center for Equality, Pride — $7,000

Open Mouth Reading Series, 2018 Poetry Series and Festival — $1,000 (targeted ad)

Ozark Off-Road Cyclists, Playing in the Dirt — $5,000*

Power Yoga Retreats, Fayetteville Yoga Fest — $5,000

SONA, season marketing support — $4,500

Spark Foundation, Nutter Runner 5K — $3,000

Walton Arts Center, Artosphere — $15,000

Total: $64,500 (plus $2,000 for targeted ads)

*denotes event this year.
