Open space project approved for Rogers

The first open space project is coming to Northwest Arkansas through a grant agreement between the Walton Family Foundation and the city.

Other action

Rogers City Council met Tuesday and approved:

• Amending the budget to include $10,000 from the Northwest Arkansas Economic Development District.

• Transferring $20,000 to replace voice amplification modules for self-contained breathing apparatus for the Fire Department.

• Accepting a $73,785 from the Walton Family Foundation for the Rogers Historical Museum.

• Rezoning 3.86 acres at the southwest corner of West Persimmon and North 13th streets from a mix of highway commercial and RDP to highway commercial.
