Bandit took $180, victim tells police

Little Rock police say a man was robbed at gunpoint a few blocks from Arkansas Children's Hospital late Monday.

According to a report from the Police Department, the 61-year-old was walking in the 2300 block of West 10th Street when a gunman approached him around 9 p.m.

Pointing the weapon at the victim's chest, the robber told him to empty his pockets, the man told officers. After the man handed him $180, the assailant said, "If you don't give me all the money in your wallet, I'm going to kill you," according to the report.

Police said the victim showed the robber his wallet was empty, at which point he told the man to "turn around, walk away, and don't look back."

Authorities described the robber as a 140-pound male with a dark complexion, standing about 5 feet 9 inches tall.

No suspects had been named and no arrests had been made at the time of the report.
