14,000 Carroll customers lose power Friday evening

ROGERS -- More than 14,000 customers throughout the Rogers, Bentonville, Lowell, Cave Springs, Elm Springs and Springdale areas were without electricity late Friday night.

The area is served by Carroll Electric Cooperative of Berryville. As of 10 p.m. crews from the company were working to restore power.

The area affected stretched from West Olive Street in Rogers south to Emma Avenue in Springdale and from Arkansas 112 in Cave Springs to the west to just west of War Eagle to the east and into the Hobbs State Park around Beaver Lake.

• In the southwest Rogers area 3,285 customers were without power.

• In the Bellview area of Rogers, 2,240 customer were without power.

• In the Stoney Brook area of Rogers/Bentonville, 3,470 customers were without power.

• In Pleasant Grove area of Rogers, 4,399 customers were without power.

• In the Beaver Lake/Elm Springs area of Springdale and Lowell, nearly 963 customers were without power, or 35 percent of customers in the service area.

The cause of the power loss was unknown late Friday night.
