The 20-year-old has now hit four home runs in the series and at least one in each game as Tulsa (17-17) has won three straight. He has five home runs on the season.

Tulsa led 4-2 after seven, but the Drillers opened up the game with five runs in the last two innings against the Naturals bullpen.

Northwest Arkansas manager Vance Wilson said the bullpen was where the game got away. But Tulsa is a different team from the one the Naturals swept four from earlier in the season.

"One, I think we've scuffled in some areas and two, they are getting hot," Wilson said. "They have a very powerful lineup that we obviously held at bay last time. Really, tonight our bullpen struggled. It wasn't the intent, but the execution. Especially against their big guys."

The Drillers put the game away with three runs in the eighth on two-out, two-run double by Jose Fernandez, followed by an RBI-double by Mieses for a 7-2 lead. Tulsa added two more in the ninth.

With Mieses' two home runs, Tulsa pushed their Texas League-leading total to 39.

Tulsa manager Ryan Garko said the Drillers are beginning to get hitting up and down the lineup, rather than relying on one or players.

"We're starting to get guys other than (Edwin) Rios and (Kyle) Garlick going, which is a good sign," Garko said. "Mieses is getting going. He's one of the youngest players in the league and that's great to see."

"I think we're playing more consistent. The starting pitching's more consistent and the hitting one through nine is more consistent."

Northwest Arkansas (18-15) has now lost three straight, but remains in a first-place tie with Springfield in the Texas League North Division.

Short Hops

• Naturals third baseman Mauricio Ramos hit his fourth home run of the season, a two-run shot in the eighth.

• Drillers catcher Kyle Farmer continued his torrid hitting in the series, going 3-for-4 with two runs scored. He is now 10-for-12 in the three games.

• Tulsa starting pitcher Scott Barlow (2-2) picked up the win, allowing two runs (both earned) on three hits over six innings. He struck out eight and walked one.

On Deck: The Naturals finish up their series against Tulsa and an eight-game home stand. Northwest Arkansas sends Matt Tenuda (2-1 7.61 ERA) to the mound the 2:05 p.m. start. The Drillers will start Ivan Vieitez (1-2 2.81 ERA).

Today's Promotion: The first 1,000 moms in attendance will receive a Naturals-themed cap in celebration of Mothers' Day. Kids 12-and-under eat free, while all kids can run the bases following the game.
