Man arrested after reporting burglary at his house

BENTONVILLE -- A Rogers man watched three people break into his home, called police and then was arrested after marijuana plants were found in the home.

Dylan Bremer, 21, was arrested last week in connection with manufacture of a controlled substance, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, possession of controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia. He's free on a $15,000 bond.

Bremer called police Feb. 14 to report a burglary was happening at his home at 814 E. Greenfield St. Bremer saw the burglary through his security system, according to court documents.

Bremer arrived at his home before police and chased the suspects away. Bremer told police he fired a shot at the vehicle the suspects fled in, according to court documents.

Rogers police arrived at Bremer's home and smelled the odor of marijuana. Officers found a tent and grow lights commonly used to cultivate marijuana in one of the rooms.

Police arrested Latrell Richmond, 21, and a juvenile in connection with the incident. Richmond told police he and two friends planned to break into Bremer's house to steal items. Richmond said he knew Bremer and believed he had large amounts of marijuana, pills, cash, an AK-47 and a pistol, according to court documents.

Richmond claimed they didn't take anything from Bremer's home, but saw several marijuana plants in a room. Police watched the security video and saw the burglars take a jar of change and an Xbox gaming system from Bremer's home, according to court documents.

Richmond was arrested in connection with residential burglary. He is free on $10,000 bond.

Bremer told police there were two marijuana plants in a garbage can in his garage. Bremer also gave police a small amount of marijuana from his pocket, according to the affidavit.

Police eized a digital scale, a grow tent, lights, 1.2 grams of suspected marijuana, four marijuana plants and guns during a search of the home, according to the affidavit.

Police also arrested Darian Shull, who lives with Bremer, in connection with the same drug charges as Bremer. She's free on $15,000 bond.

Bremer told police Shull, 20, had nothing to do with the marijuana, according to court documents.

Prosecutors haven't filed formal charges against Bremer, Shull or Richmond.
