ROGERS -- Construction on New Hope Road requires an overnight, alternating lane closure, according to Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department officials.
The lane closure will begin today and continue through Thursday, weather permitting. The closure will alternate between the inside eastbound and inside westbound lane from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Traffic will be controlled using signage, traffic drums and flaggers.
The project is part of Highway Department's Connecting Arkansas Program and includes widening five miles of Interstate 49 to three lanes in each direction from Bella Vista to Fayetteville.
