Martinez guilty of murder

FAYETTEVILLE — A jury found Rodolfo Alberto Martinez guilty of shooting Jimmy Rodriquez to death.

Martinez, 21, is charged with capital murder, unlawful discharge of a firearm from a vehicle and committing a terroristic act.

Police described the drive-by slaying as a retribution gang shooting that happened April 11, 2015 in Springdale.

Rodriguez was 20 years old.

The sentencing phase of the case is underway in Washington County Circuit Court.

Martinez faces life in prison.
