CHI St. Vincent, insurer reach deal

CHI St. Vincent and insurer United Healthcare have agreed to continue access for all United Healthcare employer-sponsored and individual health plans to CHI St. Vincent hospitals, physicians and other services, the two said Friday.

"We are pleased to be able to provide uninterrupted healthcare services to the patients we serve throughout Arkansas," Chad Aduddell, chief executive officer of CHI St. Vincent, said in a prepared statement. "It is important we receive fair and reasonable payments to continue our ministry. We believe our continued relationship with United Healthcare allows the two of us to work together to better serve the needs of our patients."

CHI St. Vincent owns and operates hospitals throughout Arkansas, including a 615-bed facility in Little Rock. United Healthcare offers health benefit programs with more than 1 million physicians and 6,000 hospitals and other facilities nationwide.
