Missions end losing streak, beat Naturals

Mike Olt’s leadoff home run in the bottom of the fifth inning gave San Antonio enough insurance as it ended a four-game losing streak against the Naturals before 3,413 at Wolff Stadium in San Antonio.

Olt’s home run off Naturals starter Ashton Goudeau (0-1) gave the Missions a 2-0 lead. San Antonio led 1-0 on Jose Rondon’s sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fourth.

Northwest Arkansas’ only run came in the eighth, when Jack Lopez stole second and third after a leadoff walk and then scored on Orlando Calixte’s infield single.

Kyle Lloyd (2-0) earned the victory in his second start. He pitched 6 shutout innings, allowing 3 hits with 2 strikeouts. Goudeau gave up 2 earned runs on 3 hits with 3 strikeouts over 6 innings.
