Katherine Oakley Cloud became the bride of Philip Andrew Tappan Jr., who goes by Drew, at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 19, in Arlington Hall at Lee Park in Dallas. The Rev. Jerry Oakley, grandfather of the bride, officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Valerie and Dr. John Cloud, 12 Beau Rivage. Her grandparents are Brenda and the Rev. Jerry Oakley of Gallatin, Tenn., and the late Lillian and Dr. William Cloud of Little Rock.

Gina and Philip Tappan, 8 E. Palisades Drive, are the parents of the groom. He is the grandson of Carolyn and the late Don Kirkpatrick of Little Rock and the late Gloria and James Tappan of Helena-West Helena.

Vows for the outdoor ceremony were exchanged under a wrought-iron gazebo. Cascading arrangements of white peonies, hydrangeas, tulips and peach roses decorated the site. Music was by Forte Strings quartet.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a douppioni silk mermaid-style gown embellished with Alencon lace on the sweetheart neckline and scalloped hem of the skirt. She carried a round bouquet of peonies, roses and hydrangeas.

Matron of honor was Lauren Cloud Wiegel of Harrison, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Ellen Doramus of Houston; Meredith Katzenberg of Palm Beach, Fla.; Grace Morrison of Atlanta; Kristen Muller of Goodlettsville, Tenn.; Elise Shea and Emlie Snyder, both of Little Rock; Sarah Tappan of Fayetteville, sister of the groom; and Julie Tinsley of Tacoma, Wash.

They wore pale mint green gowns of crinkle chiffon with halter necklines and pleated bands at the waists. They carried round bouquets similar to the bride's. Flower girl was Annaleigh Wiegel of Harrison, niece of the bride, and ring bearer was Grayson Scott of Goodlettsville.

Madison Tappan of Dallas served as his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Patrick Anderson, Adam Aultz, Geoffrey Aultz, Gray Millsap and Charles Roscopf, all of Dallas; Alex Blass of Fayetteville; Jamie Dutton of Kansas City, Mo.; and Ben Rosenheck of Tulsa. Guests were seated by Matthew Mozzoni of Fayetteville, Britt Neel of Dallas and Jake Sullivan of Little Rock.

A reception inside Arlington Hall followed the ceremony. Guest tables alternated high and low arrangements of peonies, roses, tulips and hydrangeas in mercury glass containers. Music was by the band Signed Sealed Delivered.

The bride graduated magna cum laude from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville with bachelor's degrees in accounting and finance. She is a corporate finance associate at Stephens Inc.

The groom is also a UA graduate. He has a bachelor's degree in finance and is an associate at Crow Holdings Industrial.

The couple will live in Dallas after a wedding trip to the Amalfi Coast and Florence, Italy.
