Police: 2 injured when car hits semi in Rogers

A 16-year-old driver and another juvenile were injured Wednesday night when their 2011 Chevrolet Cruz rear-ended a semitrailer in Rogers, according to a news release from the Rogers police department.

The wreck happened at about 9:30 p.m. on West Hudson Road near North Dixieland Road, according to the news release.

The driver was taken to Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville and later flown to a hospital in Springfield, Mo., according to the news release. The passenger was taken to Northwest Medical with minor injuries.

The driver of the semitrailer was uninjured.

The news release does not provide further details about conditions or identities of those involved. The wreck is still under investigation, according to the news release.
