Driver who killed pedestrian sought

The driver of a vehicle fled after striking and killing a pedestrian on Arkansas 32 three miles south of Bodcaw on Sunday morning, according to Arkansas State Police.

James Matthew Langston, 23, of Rosston was in the eastbound lane of the highway when a vehicle hit him at about 4:30 a.m. Sunday, according to a police report.

Langston was taken to Wadley Regional Medical Center at Hope where he died, the report stated.

State troopers were unable to locate the vehicle that struck Langston, and the Arkansas State Police issued a news release Monday afternoon asking for anyone with any information about the fatal accident to contact Highway Patrol Troop G.

Langston was the 31st person to die in a vehicle accident in Arkansas in 2016, according to the state police.
