The Lady Tigers (11-0) held off a fourth-quarter Gravette run that saw a 12-point lead cut to just five, 55-50, with six minutes, 58 seconds left. Griffin had the answer, taking a pass in the low post on a high-low play for a layup that gave West Fork the breathing room it needed.

"I thought we shot it well tonight and Holly played well inside," West Fork girls basketball coach Rodney Selph said. "We were able to get some offensive rebounds and kicked it back out, and we hit some big 3s."

West Fork hit 11 from beyond the 3-point line in the game. Sara Greenlee hit five 3-pointers, and Shannon Throgmorton hit four as the two guards scored 15 points each.

Throgmorton's 3-pointer with just under seven minutes left gave West Fork a 55-43 lead, but Gravette (5-5) refused to go quietly. The Lady Lions went on a 7-0 run as Tori Foster drained a 3-pointer and freshman Cally Kildow and Kyrstin Branscum each hit two free throws to pull Gravette within 55-50.

"They shot the ball really great," Gravette coach Will Pittman said. "We shot it good, they just shot it better."

Kildow scored a season-high 27 points for Gravette, including six 3-pointers. Foster hit four from beyond the arc and scored 12. The Lady Lions made 10 as a team.

West Fork was able to seal the win at the free-throw line, hitting 4-of-6 in the closing 2:26 to secure its 11th win heading into the holiday break. The Lady Lions are off until after Christmas, where they will compete in the Mansfield Tournament.

"Right now we are playing well and hopefully we can continue that," Selph said. "It's a long season. There's a lot of basketball left."

Kelton Trembly scored a game-high 27 points to power the Lions (8-2). Chris Childress added 13.

Dalton Hays led the Tigers (9-3) with 22 points.
