BENTONVILLE — Construction on the Bella Vista Bypass will require lane closures on Peach Orchard Road in Benton County all week, according to Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department officials.
Crews will be installing cross drains on Peach Orchard Road. The work will reduce traffic to one lane beginning half a mile from its intersection with North Walton Boulevard and ending west of the new Peach Orchard Road overpass above the Bella Vista Bypass. Eastbound and westbound lanes will alternately be closed during work hours. Two-lane traffic will be reestablished during non-work hours.
The lane closures began Monday and will continue through Friday, weather permitting. One-lane traffic will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Traffic will be controlled using signage and flaggers. Drivers may experience delays on Peach Orchard Road during the closure. This work was originally scheduled for August 1 through August 5, but had to be rescheduled.
