One person died in a fire at a Little Rock apartment complex Thursday morning, the Little Rock Fire Department reported.
Fire Department spokesman Capt. Edwin Woolf said emergency personnel responded at 9:08 a.m. to a blaze at The Landings at Rock Creek Apartments at 13200 Chenal Parkway. Woolf said one apartment in a 16-unit building was burning, and firefighters contained and extinguished the fire "pretty quick."
Emergency personnel then found one person dead inside the apartment. That person's identity not been released late Wednesday.
No other injuries were reported. Woolf said damage to other apartments was minor.
The cause of the blaze was unclear. An investigation is ongoing.
