NWA Donations for flood victims sought

Christian Life Cathedral of Fayetteville and Rhea Lana's Consignment of NWA of Springdale are collecting donations of money and supplies for flood victims in Louisiana.

The two organizations said all money donated will go to victim relief and not administrative fees.

To give money by text, see this online link: give.church/zd8n47a, an announcement from Christian Life said.

For more information, contact the church office at 479-521-5683. The church asks that money be designated for the "Baton Rouge Emergency Relief."

The partners in the project also will accept in-kind donations of food and cleaning supplies. They plan to send a semi-trailer of supplies to Baton Rouge on Sunday afternoon. The truck will distribute supplies to churches in heavily hit areas that have been designated as local distribution centers.

Only nonperishable food items or cleaning supplies are being accepted and should be dropped off at the church at 1285 Millsap Road in Fayetteville or Rhea Lana's at 1106 N. Old Missouri Road in Springdale between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. today through Saturday.
