Proceeds from the annual benefit will go to the Arkansas Chapter of ALS Association and the Lib Horn Animal Shelter in Fayetteville. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis is also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.

Participating breweries include Battered Boar Brewing Company, Brick by Brick Beer Workshop, Eviltwin Brewing, Lost Forty Brewing, Mother's Brewing Company, Bayou Tech Beer, Marshall Brewing Company, Black Apple Arkansas Roots and Angry Orchard Hard Cider.

Maudie Schmitt, owner and chef of Cafe Rue Orleans, and Brandon Karn of Jammin' Java started the benefit because they both had friends with ALS. The animal shelter was added this year as a second beneficiary.
