TEXARKANA -- A Nashville man was rescued Wednesday evening from Millwood Lake near Saratoga Landing, Hempstead County Sheriff James Singleton said.
Sheriff's Deputy Derick Bunn was sent to Saratoga Landing about 7:15 p.m. Wednesday in reference to a boat turning over and a person in the water.
A rescuer swam to Robert Rockenbach, 51, who was about 150 yards from the boat ramp area. Bunn was told a boat was being brought to help in the rescue.
Brandon Smith arrived with a boat, and he and Deputy Jimmy Floyd retrieved Rockenbach from the water.
The investigation was turned over to Arkansas Game and Fish Commission wildlife officers because the boat capsized.
