Beaver Lake: Black bass are biting at night on plastic worms or crawdad imitations, reports Aaron Jolliff at Hook, Line and Sinker in Rogers.

Soft plastic craw imitations are working 12 to 20 feet deep along rocky banks. Banks with gravel and isolated larger rocks are good places to fish.

Trolling for crappie with crank baits is working from the Arkansas 12 bridge upstream to Monte Ne, Jolliff said. Bandit 300 crank baits are a good choice.

Beaver tailwater: Carl Caso at the Beaver Dam Store said the top flies for trout are nymphs, midges and small jigs. Flicker Shads in pearl white are the top lure. Colorado spoons in gold/silver are also working. Power Bait in orange or chartreuse is the best bait. Tip with a waxworm for best results.

Lake Fayetteville: Dolly Black at Lake Fayetteville boat dock said catfish are biting liver or nightcrawlers. Bluegill are biting crickets or worms. Black bass are biting top-water lures early and plastic worms later in the day.

Lake Sequoyah: Mike McBride at Lake Sequoyah bait shop said black bass fishing is good on top-water lures or plastic worms. Crappie are biting jigs or minnows 8 feet deep near the main channel. Catfish to 40 pounds have been caught with sunfish for bait. Use liver or shad for channel catfish.

Lake Elmdale: Lucky Key at Duck Camp Fishing said black bass are biting red plastic worms or black/blue spinner baits. Best fishing is from 3 to 6 a.m. An angler caught an 8-pound bass on a spinner bait this week, Key said.

Crappie are biting 8 feet deep on minnows or chartreuse/black jigs. Best fishing is from daylight to 9 a.m. Bluegill are biting crickets.

Siloam Springs Lake: Kenny Stroud in Siloam Springs said black bass are biting top-water lures early and plastic worms later in the day.

Illinois River: Stroud said catfish are biting liver or worms. Black bass are biting a variety of small soft-plastic baits.

Eastern Oklahoma: The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation said crappie at Grand Lake are fair on minnows around docks. Catfish are fair drifting cut shad 30 feet deep in the main lake.
