Three men were arrested early Monday after a failed attempt to rob a west Little Rock Burger King, police reported.

Timothy Lee Omejieke , 27, and Christopher Laron Wells, 20, both of 2612 S. Izard St. in Little Rock; and Brandon Lawrence Thompson, 19, of 3104 Marshall St. in Little Rock were arrested about 1 a.m. Monday and each charged with two counts of aggravated robbery and one count of theft of property, according to an arrest report.

Police responded to the Burger King at 14916 Cantrell Road for a reported robbery, police said.

Employees told police that they were locking up the restaurant when two men wearing masks approached, police reported. One of the men was armed with a rifle, and the suspects demanded to enter the business but were unsuccessful.

The two men then stole an employee’s vehicle, and witnesses noticed a second suspicious vehicle following the stolen vehicle, police said.

Police conducted a traffic stop on the suspicious vehicle and all three men were arrested, police reported. The employee’s stolen vehicle was located abandoned.

All three men were being held in the Pulaski County jail Monday night with no bail set.
