SPRINGDALE -- Springdale police arrested three women Thursday in connection with vehicle thefts from two Springdale car lots, spokesman Lt. Derek Hudson said.

Darreon Jordan, 22, of 986 W. Bob Place in Fayetteville; Lacy Black, 27, unknown address; and Tiana Wilson, 26, of 1947 Davis Road in Springdale were arrested in connection with three counts of vehicle theft and two counts of accessory to motor vehicle thefts, according to a Police Department news release.

Police said the women went to two Springdale car lots, asked to test drive a vehicle, then stole the keys and vehicles. The women are accused in the theft of a white 2012 Dodge Challenger and a gray 2009 Ram pickup April 25, according to a news release. The trio also are accused of stealing a gray 2008 Chevrolet Trail Blazer from a different lot Wednesday, according to the release.

On Thursday, the women visited Landers McLarty Nissan in Bentonville where employees recognized them from news reports, according to the news release. Employees called Bentonville police, who detained the women and called Springdale police. The women were booked into the Springdale jail Thursday.

The vehicles were found at an apartment complex in Fayetteville, police said.
