Business news in brief

Errand Express opens in two counties

Fayetteville-based Errand Express started operations March 9, serving clients across Benton and Washington counties.

The business offers grocery shopping, restaurant delivery and other services.

Basic errands include pharmacy, post office and dry-cleaning pickup and drop-off; senior citizen services include safety check-ins, light house cleaning and lighting fixture maintenance; pet and home services range from pet sitting and walking to picking up mail; and real estate services include flier placement, key delivery and open-house preparations.

Owners Eric Evridge and Leslie Girdick have four employees. Hours of operation are 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Evridge said the business started with grocery shopping and expanded into a full-scale concierge service. Errand services and grocery shopping cost $25 per hour; grocery shopping also costs an additional 5 percent of total grocery purchase. Pet sitting is $30 a day and includes up to two visits.

Errand Express is licensed, bonded and insured.
