Jeffrey Ballard was the publicist for Eight is Enough star Dick Van Patten at the time of the actor's death this week. An Associated Press obituary for Van Patten that appeared in Wednesday's editions named a former publicist for the actor as the person holding the job at the time of Van Patten's death.
