Excavation work in connection with planned bridge construction for the Bella Vista Bypass will require a lane closure beginning today on Punkin Hollow Road in Benton County, the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department said.
The work will reduce traffic to one lane between Short Road and Miller Church Road from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily on weekdays lasting about one week, weather permitting. Traffic will be controlled using flaggers.
Two-lane traffic will resume during non-work hours, the department said.
The work is part of a $52 million project to build about 6 miles of the Bella Vista Bypass between U.S. 71B and Arkansas 72 South. The project involves the initial two lanes of a four-lane highway.
