VAN BUREN -- Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas is set to visit Van Buren next month.

Cruz will be the keynote speaker at the Republican Party of Crawford County's 2015 Lincoln Day Dinner at Van Buren High School. The theme of the Aug. 12 event is "Reigniting America."
The event begins with a $300-per-couple reception and a $75-per-person dinner, according the event's website.
Cruz was the first Republican to announce his entry into the 2016 presidential race, on March 23.
