NWA Letters

How we got to this point

Well, we’ve arrived.

When you take God out, you have a Godless mess.

The voting rights act provided have been changed to the proper place when slaves were freed and the vote given, when in 1920 women joined, and in 1924 the Native Americans — all good.

A major mistake was changing the voting age from 21 to 18 years old. It was based on the military person willing to die for the country and how he should be able to have a vote.

At 18, today’s teen has the maturity level of the 14 year old of past decades.

Take liberals, the empirically dense teen and illegals voting by the thousands and you wind up with legality trumping morality.

It’s trite to say we could blame all heathens, but they are tax-paying citizens, thus due a vote, yet will have a hard time dealing with the ultimate results of their voting than those of faith.

Headline was offensive

Your June 28 headline, “NWA celebrates ruling,” was offensive to many residents of Northwest Arkansas. It gave the impression that the entire region was celebrating [the Supreme Court ruling on same-sex marriage].

Headlines should be neutral — now a sweeping declaration. Future headlines should be considerate of all the readership.
