Siloam Springs rallied from a four-point halftime deficit to knock off a scrappy Prairie Grove squad 48-39 in the championship of the Siloam Springs Holiday Classic.

It's the first time the Lady Panthers have won their own tournament, after losing three straight years to Conway.

Siloam Springs (9-3) trailed 23-19 at halftime after Prairie Grove ran off the final 70 seconds of the first half and scored at the buzzer on a Parker Lopez putback.

At that point, the Lady Tigers had led most of the first half and by as many as seven points earlier in the second quarter.

When the second half resumed, the Lady Tigers ran off more than another minute off the clock before the Lady Panthers forced a turnover and Mayse Pippin converted a three-point play with 6 minutes, 41 seconds remaining in the third to pull Siloam Springs back within 23-22.

The Lady Panthers took the lead for good 30-28 when Baily Cameron hit a 3-pointer on the wing, starting a 10-0 run to close the quarter.

"It was a complete game of opposites," said Siloam Springs girls coach Tim Rippy. "They're small and quick. We're long and lanky. We were talking about it on the bench, but we said just stay patient. It's a four-point game. Make them execute. Eventually we strung together several stops in a row."

The Lady Tigers (6-8) got back within five points of the lead in the fourth quarter but no closer. Siloam Springs hit 8 of 12 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter to clinch the victory.

"They were a little more aggressive, and we missed some shots and made some costly turnovers," said Prairie Grove coach Kevin Froud. "They had a size advantage. They hit a three there at the end of the quarter and another three there to start the run in the third quarter. That gave them a lead and we just couldn't get some shots to fall consistently."

Owens led the Lady Panthers with 16 points. Cameron scored 15 points, and Pippin had all 10 of her points in the third quarter.

Mattie Hartin led Prairie Grove with 16 points, while Lopez had 12 and Taylor Hartin 11.

Claremore (Okla.) 47, Rogers 33

Claremore stayed one step ahead of the Lady Mounties in the third place game.

Lauren Chancellor led the Lady Zebras with 11 points as Claremore led 13-8 after the first period and 30-16 at halftime. The Lady Zebras held a 44-26 lead entering the fourth quarter.

Amber Turner led Rogers with seven points, while Kelsey Richmond had six.

Gentry 48, Mingo Valley (Okla.) Christian 38

Haley Borgentein-James scored 18 points as Gentry won the consolation finals against Mingo Valley Christian.

Mallory Morris added nine points for the Lady Pioneers.

Jensen Gressett led Mingo Valley with 18 points.
