SILOAM SPRINGS -- This time, the shots dropped for Prairie Grove.

Back in November, Prairie Grove missed its first 12 3-point attempts and made just 2-of-17 3-pointers in a 15-point loss to Rogers High. On Friday night was a different story when the two teams met at the Siloam Springs Holiday Classic.

Prairie Grove (6-7): M. Hartin 18, T. Hartin 10, Lopez 6, Bartholomew 6, Cox 5, Doss 3, Stone 2, Keelin 1.

Rogers (6-6): Randels 12, Sandor 9, Sagely 7, Brown 4, Wisdom 2, King 1.

Prairie Grove hit six 3-pointers in the first half and seven in the game in a 51-35 victory over the Lady Mounties in the semifinals. Prairie Grove advanced to today's 7 p.m. championship game, while Rogers (6-6) will play in the 4 p.m. third place game.

Mattie Hartin led the Lady Tigers with 18 points, while Taylor Hartin added 10 points. Mattie Hartin, who scored 16 of her total in the first half, hit three 3-pointers in the first quarter as Prairie Grove took a 14-8 lead.

"We made shots, and we had some good looks," said Prairie Grove coach Kevin Froud. "We shot it like we are capable of shooting it. It was our night."

Rogers only scored 14 points in the second half and Froud said the Lady Tigers' defensive intensity was the difference.

"Our defense was a lot better," he said. "Our full-court pressure was a difference and Rogers missed some shots they normally make. We are not very big, and we have to be like gnats flying around and bugging people. That is what we try to do, and the girls did a good job of that. That takes heart, effort and character to do that kind of stuff."

Sophomore Elise Randels led Rogers with 12 points while Madison Sandor added nine points.

"Give all the credit to Prairie Grove on playing a great game," said Rogers coach Preston Early. "We were embarrassed in every phase of the game."

Gentry 52, Western Grove 45

Haley James scored 23 points and Rachel Lawrence added 11 points for the Lady Pioneers .

James was 9-of-11 from the field and 5-of-8 from the free-throw line for Gentry (2-7). James scored 14 points in the first half and seven points in the fourth quarter. Lawrence hit three 3-pointers and had a team-high seven rebounds.
