Tony C's combining steak night with New Year's Eve bash

Tony C's Italian Gardens in Prairie Creek is planning to welcome the holidays with special buffets and parties.

Originally established in 1986 by Tony and Colleen Catroppa as a fine-dining destination, the restaurant has expanded five times to its nearly 10,000 square feet today and has been newly remodeled.

The newest offerings from Tony C's include a family dinner buffet for $6.97 on Wednesday evenings from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The well-stocked buffet has a salad bar, gluten-free pasta choices, chicken Parmigiana, pork chops, fried chicken, assorted vegetables, garlic bread, bread pudding, cobbler and other desserts, along with Grandma Rosa's meatballs and Italian "gravy" red sauce.

Christmas parties can take advantage of special event buffets, accommodating up to 150 for only $7.77 per person. The price includes a choice of entertainment and two buffet lines.

The Catroppas are also planning a New Year's Eve Bash featuring the Johnny Dale Roberts Band. The bash includes a free breakfast buffet at midnight, free taxi service and free party favors. Participants can also get a discount on rooms at the nearby Beaver Lake Lodge of the Ozarks.

Starting next year, Tony C's will feature live acts from Branson as part of a dinner and show service.

The bash runs in conjunction with Tony C's Steak Night, when rib-eyes and filet Mignon highlight Friday and Saturday nights and are first-come, first-served. Prices start at $9.97 and go up depending on cut and size. Fresh, hand-cut-to-order sirloins are on order all week long.

On the weekends, the stars at Tony C's are the breakfast and lunch buffets from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. and the hand-cut USDA-choice Angus steaks at dinnertime. The buffets, at $5.97, runs from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. and feature a Bloody Mary special for $2.97. Eggs are made to order, and there are generous helpings of sausage, bacon, country ham, chicken fried steaks, pork chops, and hash browns. Pancakes, French toast, and biscuits and gravy are also staples of the breakfast buffet, along with a salad bar and fresh fruit bar.

The restaurant offers Italian entrees and more traditional American fare for lunch such as salads, chicken fried steak, hand-breaded fried chicken and the double-cheeseburger baskets. The dough for their pizzas is made from scratch.
