FAYETTEVILLE — A man who police say fatally shot a woman in the head in May at her Springdale apartment pleaded not guilty Monday to a murder charge in Washington County Circuit Court.
Antoine Jackson, 29, of 1200 Park Drive in North Little Rock is charged with capital murder. Jackson was given an initial court date of Feb. 2 before Circuit Judge Mark Lindsay.
Emily Nash, 28, was found dead May 27 in her apartment at 802 H Bailey Ave., according to a preliminary police report. She had gunshot wounds to her head and one of her hands.
If convicted of capital murder, Jackson faces life in prison without the possibility of parole or the death penalty.
