HOOKS 9, NATURALS 7

Facing a 9-4 deficit entering the ninth, Northwest Arkansas managed to get three runs, thanks to a home run by Frank Schwindel, but couldn't get over the hump as Corpus Christi held on for a victory in front of an announced crowd of 5,648 at Whataburger Field in Corpus Christi.

The Naturals held a 3-1 advantage entering the bottom of the fourth, but the Hooks put together 2 singles, 3 walks and a wild pitch to score 4 runs.

In the bottom of the fifth, the Hooks used four hits, a wild pitch and a walk to put three more runs on the board.

The Naturals scored a single run in the sixth and Corpus Christi added one in the seventh.

Two one-one hits set the stage for Schwindel in the ninth, but left the Naturals Alex Liddi stranded at second base.
