A routine bridge inspection will require a lane closure on Interstate 40 near West Memphis for three days beginning Tuesday, the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department said.
A crew inspecting the bridge spanning the Mississippi River between Memphis and West Memphis will require closing the westbound outside lane on the bridge, reducing westbound traffic to two lanes, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily through Thursday, weather permitting.
The bridge, built in 1973, is 9,431 feet long and 89 feet wide.
