Springdale police investigate vehicle thefts

The Springdale Police Department is trying to find three women accused of stealing vehicles from dealerships several times in the past week, according to a news release.

The women arrive in a mid-2000s gold- or cream-colored Chrysler 300 with a sun roof, nice rims and peeling pain, asking to test drive a vehicle, the news release stated. They then try to get the keys, distract the dealership employee and steal the vehicle.

Three vehicles have been stolen from two locations in this manner, the news release stated.

Two of the woman are about six feet tall and weigh about 200 pounds, the news release stated. The other woman skinny, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and has dark blonde or brown hair, the news release stated. All three appear to be in their 30s.

Police ask anyone with information on the thefts to call investigators at 479-751-4542 or the anonymous tip line at 479-750-4484. Police also warn dealers to be on the lookout for the women.
