Three Arrested Near Prairie Grove Face Burglary Charges

FAYETTEVILLE -- Three men were in the Washington County jail Wednesday in connection with residential burglary, theft of property, possessing instruments of crime, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.

Shawn Sewell, 29, and Ronald Albert Hale, 25, both of 310 E. North St. in Lincoln and Ronald Dwight Hale, 53, of 18286 Vineyard Road in Cane Hill were arrested Tuesday as they left the scene of a residential burglary on Sherman Road near Prairie Grove.

Bond is set at $3,500 for each man.

The homeowner told Washington County Sheriff's Office deputies, as he arrived home, one man drove out of his driveway and two men ran out the back door, according to an arrest report. They tried to take an all-terrain vehicle but couldn't get it started because it had a dead battery. They fled on foot, according to the report.

Deputies stopped a vehicle with the three men on Sherman Road near the intersection with Four Corners Road.

Deputies found a credit card and other property belonging to the homeowner in the car, according to the report. They confiscated rubber gloves, bolt cutters, pry bars, one gram of marijuana and a pipe containing marijuana residue, according to the arrest report.
