Dutch speaker set for UALR lecture

An assistant professor of international relations at the University of Groningen in Groningen, Netherlands, will address how Libya and Tunisia are dealing with post-conflict transitions, at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock on Thursday.

Christopher Lamont's presentation on "Democratic Transitions in Tunisia and Libya: Divergent Trajectories of Political Change in North Africa" will be at 7 p.m. Thursday in meeting room D of UALR's Donaghey Student Center.

The presentation takes place four days after Tunisians went to the polls for National Assembly elections.

The free event is hosted by UALR's Middle Eastern Studies Program and is open to the public.
