Rogers man pleads guilty, sentenced for sexual assaults

A Rogers man was sentenced to 32 years in prison after admitting to sexually assaulting two girls.

Floyd Jetson Dorsey, 62, pleaded guilty Tuesday to two counts of sexual assault in the first degree, a Class A felony, and sexual assault in the second degree, a Class B felony. The pleas was under an agreement his attorney Scott McElveen, reached with Carly Marshall, deputy prosecutor.

Dorsey was arrested in July in connection with the sexual abuse complaints.

Two women and a girl, who were interviewed by Rogers police in July, said Dorsey inappropriately touched them between five and 13 years ago. Two of them described incidents where Dorsey attempted sexual contact when they were in fifth grade and another said she was between 8 and 12 years old, according court documents.

The victims and law enforcement were in agreement with the plea agreement.

Circuit Judge Robin Green accepted the plea agreement and Dorsey's guilty pleas.

Dorsey was given 16 year sentences for each of the first degree sexual assault. The sentences must be served consecutively which means Dorsey must serve 32 years in prison.

He must serve at least 8 years before he will be eligible for parole.

Dorsey received a 10 year suspended sentence for the sexual assault in the second degree.
