The formula hasn't much changed for the Gulley Park Concert Series. Grab some refreshments, bring a lawn chair or a blanket and plop down in front of the gazebo in the center of the park. Organizers with the Fayetteville Parks and Recreation department take care of the rest.
The summer music series returns for its 18th season and begins with a performance on Thursday by Arkansas act National Park Radio.

Alan Spann, recreation supervisor for the parks and rec department, says organizers attempted to create a diverse lineup that balances local, regional and national talent.
"We obviously want something that's family friendly," Spann says.
It's dog friendly, too. Dogs are welcome all weeks, but they are specifically encouraged on July 10. That's when the series will partner with local pet retailer The Whole Pet for Bark in the Park.
Throughout the course of the series, several vendors will set up in the park, offering food and beverages for those who don't bring their own.
