BELLA VISTA -- The City Council will vote Monday on buying four acres off Forest Hills Boulevard. The land is intended for the city's fourth fire station.

The meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. at Highlands Crossing Center.

The land is near the intersection of Forest Hills Boulevard and Buckston Road and owned by Village Bible Evangelical Free Church. Mayor Frank Anderson negotiated a $40,000 per acre price. Aldermen agreed to buy the land at a work session Monday.

The group also will vote on a $10,000 contract with Benton County for ambulance service in rural areas around the city. The contract will be for 2014.

Fireworks stands also will be discussed. New regulations for stricter security when fireworks are present will be discussed.

The council also will consider the first reading of an ordinance adopting the 2012 Arkansas Fire Prevention Code after the council agreed it should table indefinitely a previous ordinance regarding the fire code.
