24-year-old Springdale woman found dead after vehicle goes in lake

A 24-year-old Springdale woman was killed Sunday night when her vehicle went off the road near Blue Springs Bridge in Washington County and into Beaver Lake, according to a news release from the Washington County Sheriff's Office.

The woman was identified as Lorianne Gillespie. Her body was found in the vehicle in the lake, according to the news release.

A preliminary investigation found that Gillespie was driving south on Blue Springs Road in a 207 Jeep Wrangler when she failed to negotiate a curve, left the road and went down an embankment into the lake, according to the news release.
