Rogers Man Placed On Probation

— A Rogers man was placed on five years of state-supervised probation for secretly recording a 15-year-old.

James Dunham, 45, pleaded guilty Friday to video voyeurism, a Class D felony. His plea was under an agreement his attorney reached with a deputy prosecutor.

Dunham was arrested June 4, 2013.

The investigation started after Rogers police received information concerning Dunham secretly recording the girl, according to court documents. The teen told police she noticed a steady green light coming from her dresser one April night after she had gone to bed. The girl discovered the light was coming from behind a scarf on the dresser. She pulled the scarf away and found a hidden camera, according to the probable cause affidavit.

Circuit Judge Robin Green accepted the plea agreement and Dunham’s guilty plea.

Dunham was sentenced to 60 days in the Benton County Jail, but received credit for 44 days he had served.

He will be required to register as a sex offender. Dunham was ordered not to have any contact with the girl.

He must pay $1,870 in court-associated costs.
