Bomb squad responds to Ash Street in Fayetteville

The Bentonville Bomb Squad is assisting the Fayetteville Police Department with an incident on the 400 block of Ash Street, said Sgt. Craig Stout, spokesman for the Fayetteville department.

Authorities responded to a report of a suicidal person and saw what appeared to be a makeshift bomb while checking a vehicle, Stout said.

The street is closed in the area of the incident.
