The victim of a fatal shooting Friday has been identified as Tim Meehan Sr., according to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office.
The 55-year-old was shot in his home at 15554 Airport Road just east of Siloam Springs sometime Friday. Deputy Keshia Guyll said the time of the shooting is not yet known but that a family member reported it to the Sheriff’s Office at 10 a.m.
Meehan was found in his bedroom with a single gunshot wound to the head, but it didn’t look like a suicide, Guyll said.
The Benton County Sheriff’s Office is talking to a person of interest, she wrote in an email. Officials are also waiting for crime lab results.
