• Melinda Cozine, 31, of 2011 E. Helen St. was arrested Thursday in connection with felony permitting child abuse to a 7-year-old boy, according to the Fayetteville Police Department. She was being held Friday in the Washington County Detention Center without bond.

• Daniel Mechura III, 28, of 2011 E. Helen St. was arrested Thursday in connection with felony second-degree battery. He was being held Friday in the Washington County Detention Center without bond.

• Jeffery Grubbs, 30, of 503 S. Ray Ave. was arrested Thursday in connection with felony aggravated assault and first-degree false imprisonment. He was being held Friday in the Washington County Detention Center without bond.

• Andrew Roberson, 18, of 1456 N. Coghill Drive in Fayetteville was arrested Thursday in connection with three counts of felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, and one count of felony possession of methamphetamine or cocaine with purpose to deliver, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, possession of drug paraphernalia and theft by receiving. He was being held Thursday in the Washington County Detention Center without bond.

• Carlo Vanbrunt, 24, of 1305 Crutcher St. in Springdale was arrested Thursday in connection with felony violation of probation or a suspended sentence. He was being held Friday in the Washington County Detention Center without bond.

Rogers

• Firefighters told a resident to get a burn permit before burning leaves at 8:35 a.m. Thursday at 2837 N. New Hope Road.

• Firefighters helped clean up about 50 gallons of hydraulic fluid from an Inland Waste Solutions truck that leaked onto the road at 1:36 p.m. Thursday at South Eighth and West Ash streets. The Rogers Street Department was notified.

Fayetteville

• A two vehicle accident was reported at 6:10 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of West Wedington Drive and North Carriage Way. A 34-year-old Fayetteville man driving a 2006 Buick Lucerne failed to stop at the stop sign and hit a 2012 Jeep Wrangler driven by a 41-year-old Prairie Grove woman, according to the Fayetteville Police Department. No one was taken to a hospital. The man was taken to the Washington County Detention Center to be booked in for charges in connection with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, driving on a suspended license and no proof of insurance, according to the Fayetteville Police Department.
