ROGERS -- Destiny Boston helped the Rogers Heritage volleyball team earn its first postseason victory in school history this year and will continue her career in college next season.

The 5-foot-10 outside hitter signed a letter of intent to play at Central Baptist College in Conway in a ceremony Wednesday at Heritage.

Boston chose Central Baptist College over Lyon College, Heritage volleyball coach Sarah Miser said. She was a solid offensive force on the right side for the Lady War Eagles the past two seasons. She was a full-time starter as a senior, after seeing significant time as a junior.

The southpaw ranked third on the team in blocks (56) and hitting efficiency (.242) this season. Boston helped the Lady War Eagles spread the block being a strong attack option on the right side and should get a chance to play as a freshman at CBC.

Boston will also be reunited with former Heritage teammate Becca Lowe, who was a starting setter as a freshman for CBC.

"She enjoyed playing with Becca and already has a connection with her as a setter and confidence," Miser said."I think it's a good fit for Destiny and could be an impact player for them as a freshman."
